BRING YOUR OWN PIECE TO CLASS AND LEAVE WITH A MASTERPIECE

Do you want to learn how to make over furniture with chalk paint? Have a piece of furniture sitting around you have been dying to paint but not sure where to start? GET READY and JOIN IN in this furniture painting basics class where pro painter Susie Myres will teach you and guide you through the entire process of proper furniture painting. Your ticket gets you all the instruction  you will need to transform your piece and learn the basics of chalk painting to start you on the path of transforming anything you can imagine! 

No experience necessary! Beginners and advanced users welcomed in this SMALL CLASS, with limited seating to ensure high levels of instruction and attention. Learn to clean, prep, properly paint and seal furniture for a long lasting professional finish. . 

PIECES MUST BE SMALL ENOUGH TO BE CARRIED IN WITH ONE HAND, BY ONE PERSON OR LESS THAN 24" X 24" TO ENSURE PLENTY OF ROOM AND ABILITY TO FINISH YOUR PIECE IN THE ALLOTTED TIME.

- Small end table

- Small cabinet

- Small shelf or other decorative accessory

All items must be approved by the class instructor prior to bringing to class. 

This class will cover the following topics:

* Choosing the right furniture piece to paint

* The basic tools and supplies you will need

* Preparing your piece and planning your finished look

* Hands-On painting and fundamentals

* Painting fundamentals

* Finishing touches - sealing options for lasting durability

Class includes use of instructor's brushes, primer, sanding supplies and sealers. PAINT IS NOT INCLUDED IN CLASS PRICE. However, In stock chalk paint paint can be purchased for 40% off retail price on class day or student can bring in the paint of their choice they would like to use. It is recommended to confer with the instructor to ensure the chosen paint will work well for the class.

Some Important Things To Know:

What can I bring into the class?

You will need to bring in your table or piece to paint. It must be small enough to hand carry and complete within the class time frame. 

You may bring your favorite paint or beverage and snacks. No hard liquor please. We will be serving light appetizers and refreshments 

Do I need to bring any tools or supplies?

All tools and non-paint supplies for this class will be provided for the students. Paint must be purchased (40% OFF) OR BROUGHT TO CLASS

Should I wear special clothing for painting?

That's up to you. Full bib aprons will be provided, however there WILL be creativity and PAINT is involved.

Can I cancel? What's the refund policy?

We get it, life happens and you may need to reschedule. We will be fully preparing for all students so there are no refunds, but if you need to cancel, your registration can be applied toward any other class.
